Accademia Gallery is one of the most reknowned museums in Florence, which hosts, in a gallery dedicated to Michelangelo, his masterpieces (the Slaves), and the main character of it all: David, 5 meters 17 centimeters of pure white marble of Carrara, that is the symbol of Freedom, pride and Triumph of the Renaissance mind, the mind of the artist released through its time.
Accademia Gallery also hosts a great number of works of art which are not sculptures, such as paintings, plasters etc. and a special room dedicated to musical instruments. |
